Cayman Relief Mission to Hurricane hit CARICOM nations

The relief mission to Caribbean neighbours impacted by Hurricane Beryl was underway Tuesday July 16 as Premier Juliana O’Connor-Connolly and Members of Parliament, on a special chartered flight by Cayman Airways Ltd., prepared to deliver essential items and medical supplies valued at CI$1 million to those in need.

“Our heartfelt support and solidarity go out to the affected communities in Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”

Grenada’s office of the Prime Minister reported on Tuesday, that: Prime Minister, Honourable Dickon Mitchell , alongside Premier of the Cayman Islands Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly and Prime Ministers Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew of St. Kitts and Nevis and Hon. Philip J. Pierre of St. Lucia, demonstrate a strong show of regional solidarity in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl by visiting Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Premier of the Cayman Islands Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly has also brought much-needed relief supplies to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This united effort highlights the strength and resilience of our Caribbean Community (CARICOM) as we work together to rebuild and support each other in our time of need. Thank you to our regional leaders for this exemplary demonstration of commitment, camaraderie and support.
