Alleged Theft of Female Employee’s Bag by Co-worker

#TurksandCaicos, May 21, 2024 – A once esteemed and helpful employee at the IGA Supermarket on Leeward Highway, Providenciales, found himself embroiled in controversy on Thursday, March 14th, 2024.  It is alleged that he was captured on CCTV stealing a fellow employee’s bag, which contained all her documents and approximately $1,440.00 in cash.

Jasmine Thomas, an employee of IGA, reported the disappearance of her bag.  Following an internal investigation, Thomas “Jim” McIntosh was identified as the alleged perpetrator of the theft.

During his arraignment on a theft charge, McIntosh, a 35-year-old suspended employee, who is a resident of Blue Hills, Providenciales, pleaded not guilty.

The case has been adjourned until May 31st, 2024, for mention, and McIntosh was granted bail in the amount of $2,500.00.”
