Miss Universe pageant returns to Turks & Caicos this summer

#TurksandCaicos, April 15, 2024 – Come July 26 and 27, the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) will once again be part of the Miss Universe pageant, set for the Providenciales, after an almost decade break form the event.

Renown globally, Miss Universe celebrates beauty, intelligence, and cultural diversity, representing over 90 countries, where remarkable women compete in various segments.

It assists in the showcasing of their talents, advocacy, and poise.  As a pinnacle event in the pageantry world, Miss Universe continues to inspire millions worldwide, and empowering women to make meaningful contributions to their societies.

Entering a new era of Miss Universe in the TCI, its mission is to empower young women of “our community by presenting them with diverse opportunities through once-in-a lifetime,” the organisers said in a media release.

The release added that together, they are committed to “diligently promoting the splendour of our paradise Island and reasserting the TCI’S presence on the global Miss Universe stage,” it said.

Participants must be citizens of the Turks and Caicos Islands, with a valid passport, be between the ages of 18 to 28, must be a full-time student, or work full time, and engage in meaningful social cause.
