Khristopher Braithwaite Appointed as Human Resource Officer

The Office of the Deputy Governor proudly announces the appointment of Ms. Khristopher Braithwaite to the post of Human Resource Officer within the Human Resource Management Directorate in the Office of the Deputy Governor.

Ms. Braithwaite’s distinguished career within the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service commenced in 2007, marking the onset of her dedicated service to the nation. Beginning as a Clerical Officer in the Ministry of Works, she quickly established herself as a diligent and capable professional, earning accolades for her commitment to excellence.

In 2010, Ms. Braithwaite transitioned to the Governor’s Office, where she continued to excel in her role as a Clerical Officer, contributing to the efficient operation of the office and the realization of strategic objectives.

Her trajectory within the public service saw notable advancements, reflecting her dedication. In 2014, she was appointed as an Administrative Officer in the Chief Internal Auditor’s Office, showcasing her versatility and aptitude for complex administrative tasks. Her outstanding performance led to further recognition in 2016 when she was promoted to the position of Scholarship Officer in the Ministry of Education, where she played a pivotal role in facilitating educational opportunities for aspiring scholars.

Ms. Braithwaite’s commitment to personal and professional development is evident in her academic achievements. She earned an Associate Degree in General Studies (Humanities) from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College in 2008, laying a solid foundation for her educational pursuits. Building upon this, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies (Human Resource Management) from the same institution in 2015, further honing her expertise in her chosen field.

Undeterred by challenges and driven by her passion for human resource management, Ms. Braithwaite embarked on a journey of international experience and academic enrichment. In 2018, she relocated to the United States, where she immersed herself in the field of human resource management while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Johnson and Wales University. Her dedication and perseverance culminated in the successful completion of her degree in 2021, underscoring her commitment to professional growth and excellence.

Reflecting on her appointment, Ms. Braithwaite expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve in her new capacity:

“I am delighted to rejoin the Turks and Caicos Islands Government, working in the Human Resource Management Directorate Office as a Human Resource Officer.

I have always been passionate about helping others, and being resourceful in both a professional capacity and my personal life, I vow to work diligently to provide excellent service to my country. I am very grateful for this distinguished opportunity and believe in Philippians 4:13 that l can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service Her Excellency Anya Williams in commenting on Ms. Braithwaite’s appointment stated:

“It gives me great pleasure to officially congratulate Ms. Kristopher Braithwaite on her appointment as a Human Resouce Officer in the Human Resource Management Directorate in the Office of the Deputy Governor.

We welcome her back to the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service and to the HR team within my office, which has an important role to play in assisting with the recruitment of staff and the management of employment matters across government.
