Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, 6th March 2024—The Turks and Caicos Islands government earlier today swore in a new Deputy Premier and a Cabinet Minister. This is a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and serve the nation’s interests.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Office of the Premier and Public Policy, witnessed the appointment of two distinguished individuals to key ministerial positions.

The new appointments are are:

  1. Honourable Jamell Robinson, appointed as the Deputy Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands and Minister of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development
  2. Honourable Kyle Knowles, Minister of Public Safety and Utilities

These individuals will shape policies for Turks and Caicos’ economy, social development, and national security.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Premier the Honourable Charles Washington Misick expressed confidence in the abilities of the newly appointed ministers and emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to serving the interests of all citizens.

“The swearing-in ceremony and rearrangement of Cabinet ministers underscore the Turks and Caicos Islands Government’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its mandate and serving the needs of the people.

Their diverse backgrounds and proven leadership will bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to our nation’s challenges. We will work tirelessly to deliver results that benefit all Turks Islanders,” said Premier Misick.

The swearing-in ceremony symbolizes a new chapter in the Turks and Caicos Islands’ journey towards progress and prosperity. The government looks forward to working closely with the newly appointed ministers to fulfil its mandate and address the people’s needs and aspirations.
