The anger management program which began in 2007 has seen over 162 (one hundred sixty two) inmates graduating from the program to date. Each year, two cycles are conducted to train inmates on how to resolve conflicts and control their anger. The program is facilitated by Mr. Stanley Been, Substance Abuse Counselor within the Department of Behavioral Health Services.

Remarks were received from Mrs. Bridgette Newman, Permanent Secretary for Public Safety and Utilities, Mr. Michael Woodbine, Superintendent of Prison, Mr. Stanley Taylor, Prison Rehabilitation Manager and Dr. Alicia Malcolm, Director of the Department of Behavioral Health Services, all of whom congratulated the participants and commended them for their consistency and determination in completing the course. Participants were also given the opportunity to express how the program had benefited them.

Over the years, this program has seen consistently high retention rates and enthusiastic participant engagement. This Anger Management program continues to represent the collaborative work that is being done to aid in the rehabilitation of prisoners within the Turks and Caicos Islands.
