TCI Police charge man with Two Counts of Handling Stolen Goods

#TurksandCaicos, December 10, 2023 – A 32-year-old Kew Town, Five Cays, Providenciales, male has appeared in court charged with TWO COUNTS of Handling Stolen Goods: Contrary to Section 17 (1) of the Theft Ordinance Chapter 3.10 of the Laws of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Kirk Delancy Jr. stood before on December 04th, 2023, to answer the charges. The matter was adjourned to January 05th, 2024.

Mr. Delancy was charged following a report made to the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force on Sunday, 31st July 2022, where personal items, including three (3) credit cards belonging to a victim, were stolen. On Wednesday, 3rd August, the RTCIPF officers conducted a stop and search on a vehicle with a male occupant. The stolen credit cards were allegedly found when searching the occupant. An investigation was launched, and Mr. Delancy was arrested and subsequently charged.
