Man held for Killing due to Dangerous Driving escapes Police Custody

#TurksandCaicos, December 5, 2023 – Police are hunting 33-year-old, JUNIOR PIERRE, whose last known address is the Bight, Providenciales; he is wanted for the offense of “causing death by dangerous driving.”

Investigations into the matter revealed that the now wanted man JUNIOR PIERRE was arrested for the fatal accident on the night of November 18th, 2023 along Princess Drive, Grace Bay, Providenciales.  He allegedly struck two people, killing “55 years old ERIC DE MONTIGNY” and injuring another 47-year-old man, whose vehicle had broken down on the rainy night.

Pierre was granted police bail to return to police station on the morning of Friday, December 1st 2023.  The man did return to the Chalk Sound Police Station as required by his bail.  However, when the Police told him, “the person who signed your bail as surety turned you back in and said they no longer want to be responsible for you on bail” the man immediately “broke off running out of the police station,” with officers right behind him but when he took to the bushes, “that was last sight.”

The police issued a WANTED POSTER seeking the public’s assistance in finding PIERRE for killing Eric DE MONTIGNY.
