#TurksandCaicos, December 29, 2023 – InterCaribbean Airways launched a new aircraft flying to Santo Domingo on December 16th, right after its anniversary for its first TCI flight to Santo Domingo 11 years ago.  In a post on Facebook, the airline announced its new ATR 42-500 in the route Santo Domingo -Tortola- Santo Domingo, reaffirming its commitment to Dominicans who travel to the Caribbean for family and business.

The new aircraft has a greater capacity for customers and their baggage.

This is in line with its first ever Providenciales-Santo Domingo-Providenciales flight service anniversary.  InterCaribbean Airways back in 2012, when it was called Air Turks and Caicos, launched the service to and from Santo Domingo, on December 14th.

The name, the airline says, changed from Air Turks and Caicos the year after the Santo Domingo service launch and then rolled into the expansion of flight service into the wider Caribbean.

InterCaribbean shared an image taken on the airport ramp the day of the first flight to and from Santo Domingo, showing the aircraft, crew members and company management in 2012.
