DR Cargo Ship Sinks Men Rescued off Grand Turk
#TurksandCaicos, December 15, 2023 – Families of a Dominican crew of about a dozen men are rejoicing this evening after they were all reportedly recovered alive from the wreckage of their sunken cargo tanker.

The ship which reportedly left Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic was said to be on its way to Grand Turk when it ran into trouble.
By around 1 p,m. Magnetic Media managed to speak to several Dominican expats who confirmed that the captain and crew had all been found alive. Six people were reportedly picked up by a Carnival Cruises ship using their lifeboat. The Carnival Vista then alerted the US Coast Guard which initiated a search and rescue operation.
The other men were said to have been found floating on flotsam from the sunken ship.
Another amazing rescue with a group who are undoubtedly happy to be alive.
