November 1, 2023 – A new report from international aid organization Save The Children says 3190 Palestinian children have been killed in the war between Israel and Hamas in the last three weeks.

Even higher numbers are shared by CBS on October 31 from Health officials in a Hamas-controlled enclave; some 3,400 children have died in a war which is only escalating.

Gaza is home to hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians and nearly half of them are children. The small strip of land with its entry and exit tightly controlled by Israeli forces, is very densely populated.

Israeli forces have been bombing the area non-stop in response to a Hamas attack on October 7th. The organization explained why this was so dangerous for Gaza.

“Relentless airstrikes are continuing to kill and injure children indiscriminately. Over 1 million children are trapped in the middle of the active conflict zone with no safe place to go and no route to safety,” informed Save the Children on October 23..

It highlighted that the damage to infrastructure was also a factor that was affecting children.

“The damage to health infrastructures and the lack of medical supplies are forcing doctors to make impossible choices like performing surgery on hospital floors, often without anesthesia, and hampering their ability to treat patients with life-changing injuries.”

Two and a half weeks into the merciless battle, STC reported that 27 children had also been killed in the West Bank, 27 in Israel and 4,000 more were injured from air strikes.
