#TurksandCaicos, November 10, 2023 – Airport workers are now receiving threats to their lives, following the death of Jumilla  Isma, according to leaked messages seen by the Magnetic Media news team.

The threats reportedly center on a video taken of Isma as he leaves the airport alive and well in a vehicle, shortly after that video, he was gunned down along with a 19-year-old in the car. Only one person survived the killing.

It’s not clear who is videoing Isma, and what their intentions were as there was nothing strange or exciting happening in the brief shot, the only point of interest is the young man.

Shortly after his death, a worker was reportedly accused of masterminding the video and found their life in danger despite maintaining their innocence.  Criminals in the Turks and Caicos have a notorious tendency to retaliate against perceived wrongdoing against their cronies.  It’s a trend that has been addressed by the Police and the National Security Council.

On more than one occasion there have been vulgar celebrations over the deaths of men said to be embroiled in criminal activity.  So too was the case with Isma who was recently released from custody because of lack of evidence in the double murder case of Tamia Simmons and Stewart Harris. The murder, thought to be retaliatory, had shocked the nation and sparked outrage for the slain duo, described as innocents.

According to the leaked messages, police were called in to review security footage and confirmed that the implicated employee could not have been the one responsible for the video.  In fact the messages claim police have found and are investigating another suspect.

Despite our queries, police have not commented on the reported threats to what could be an innocent bystander.  Nor have there been any arrests in the case of the killing of Isma and Forbes so far.
