UK Prime Minister Sunak says Hamas is ‘evil’

#UnitedKingdom, October 23, 2023 – The UK has recommitted its support to Israel following a visit to the country by Rishi Sunak, UK Prime Minister earlier this week.

Vowing to support the country in its ‘darkest hour’ Sunak met with Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, two weeks into a bloody conflict with Palestinian military group Hamas which has killed thousands of people including civilians on both sides.

Hamas has since taken hundreds of Israeli citizens hostage.

Israel is currently preparing for a ground invasion into Gaza, which is populated by hundreds of thousands of civilians including children.

The invasion and declaration of war came after the unexpected attack by Hamas on October 7.  Palestine does not have an official military.

Sunak joined Joe Biden in describing Hamas as ‘pure evil’ while speaking to reporters in Israel.

Currently Israeli forces are blocking access to international aid and continue to bomb the Palestinian populated area.

The United Nations has secured a deal with Egypt, which will allow humanitarian aid to reach civilians from their border.
