Ministry of PPID hosts highly successful 2nd Annual Contractor’s Symposium

19 October 2023 – The Turks and Caicos Islands took a significant stride towards a sustainable future as industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders gathered for the highly successful 2nd Annual Contractor’s Symposium held under the theme “Building the Future of the Turks and Caicos Islands Through Sustainable Development.”

The symposium, which took place on Monday October 16, 2023 in Grand Turk and Tuesday October 17, 2023 in Providenciales, brought together a diverse range of participants, including contractors, experts and government officials. The event aimed to foster dialogue, share knowledge, and explore innovative approaches to sustainable development within the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The symposium featured a series of insightful presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, all focusing on the central theme of sustainable development. Esteemed experts from various fields shared their expertise, presenting cutting-edge solutions and best practices to address the unique challenges faced by the Turks and Caicos Islands.

  • Interactive Panel Discussions: Thought-provoking panel discussions explored diverse topics such as recurrent/maintenance projects, high-value/capital projects, process of bidding and evaluation, setting up a successful business and requirements and local community engagement. These discussions facilitated meaningful exchanges of ideas and fostered collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Networking Opportunities: The symposium provided an ideal platform for professionals and stakeholders to establish valuable connections, exchange contacts, and forge partnerships to further advance sustainable development initiatives in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
