Crash claims life of Bahamian

#TheBahamas, October 19, 2023 – An adult male of Bahamian nationality lost his life in a fatal accident sometime after midnight  on October 19th, the police says.

Believed to be in his early to mid twenties, the unidentified deceased, preliminary reports say, was driving a Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with another adult male driving a Mack truck.

The police informed that upon arriving on the scene, the motorist was trapped under the truck with injuries.  He was examined by emergency medical officials who found no signs of life.

However, despite the unfortunate loss of the young life, the other life, that is the truck driver, who had no serious injuries  was spared.

The crash took place at the junction of Carmichael and Golden Isles Road.  The cause is unknown and police say they are doing an investigation to determine how it happened.
