Best Culinary Destination in Caribbean title goes to Jamaica

#Jamaica, October 18, 2023 – Jamaica has been crowned the best Caribbean Culinary Destination for 2023, topping other nations with amazing food culture.

The Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica, posted the accomplishment on his Facebook, an indication of how great a win this is for the nation.

“This prestigious recognition is a testament to what we’ve always known about the rich flavors, vibrant culture, and exceptional talents that make our cuisine truly world-class,” he maintained.

The title was copped at the 2023 World Culinary Awards in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, held at Atlantis The Royal.

Jamaica was a selection from other world leading brands based on votes casted by Culinary industry professionals and the general public.

Rina van Staden, Director of the World Culinary Awards, expressed that the winners are “stellar examples of excellence in the culinary industry.”

“I congratulate each and every one for helping raise the collective benchmark to even greater heights,” she added.

Other regional winners were the  Barbados Food and Rum Festival, claiming the award for ‘Caribbean’s Best Culinary Festival’ and the Stone Barn at Park Hyatt St Kitts Christophe Harbour, which was awarded the ‘Caribbean’s Best fine Dining Hotel Restaurant.
