TCIG, Carnival and Partners to host Townhall Meeting Series

#TurksandCaicos, September 15, 2023 – The Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) in collaboration with Carnival Corporation & plc, the Grand Turk Cruise Centre (GTCC) and partners are hosting a town hall meeting on Tuesday, 19th September 2023 at Yellowman and Sons Auditorium, Grand Turk commencing at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the community of Grand Turk with an update on the future improvements to the Grand Turk Cruise Centre and the impact on the Grand Turk community; advise of initiatives to be undertaken jointly by the TCIG and Carnival; discuss opportunities for strengthening partnerships and business opportunities engagement with Carnival.  Attendees will have a chance to speak and the panelist will respond to inquiries, comments, or concerns regarding the operations of the GTCC.

TCIG understands the importance of engaging with members of the Grand Turk community and values the feedback received during these meetings.

The government values its long-standing relationship with GTCC and Carnival and seeks to improve the unique economic landscape of Cockburn Town, the Capital,  and upgrade the existing infrastructure on the island to ensure a fulfilling visitor experience and stimulate growth in income and revenues for the residents and the government as well.

There will also be two Carnival Cruise Lines Shore Excursions Information Forums to be held in:

  • Grand Turk, Wednesday, 20th September 2023 at Yellowman & Sons Auditorium at 9:00 a.m.
  • Providenciales, Wednesday, 20th September 2023 at Key West Conference Room, Beaches, Turks and Caicos at 5:00 p.m. (Registration is required to confirm attendance. Email info@grandturkcc.com to register)
