Plane crash landed in The Bahamas, no injuries reported

#TheBahamas, September 15, 2023 – A US registered Piper PA32 seven-seater, according to the police, crash landed in bushes near Spring City, just south of the airport in Abaco on Sunday September 10th; the Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA) launched a probe into the incident.

With four passengers onboard and the pilot, the plane took flight from the Leonard Thompson International Airport at Marsh Harbour, shortly after which it crashed at 4pm local time, according to the AAIA.

Additionally, it is reported that the aircraft was inbound to Marsh Harbour from Eleuthera when it was struck with an unfortunate engine failure.  The pilot acted quickly, crash landing the craft.  This is according to a statement by the police.

Reports say that locals made attempts to get to the location of the crash to help but were impeded by the rain.

Fortunately no one was reported injured.

The plane is registered in Wilmington, Delaware, registration N106MR and owned by Inter Island Charters, says the police as reported by Loop.
