Young Man killed in Friday Traffic Accident; Police report confirming not yet released

#TurksandCaicos, August 14, 2023 – A serious traffic accident on Friday resulted in crushing blow, a family thrust into deep mourning on the loss of another young man of promising potential in Providenciales.
Photographs of the scene showed a white-coloured vehicle tossed on its side; in what was described by passers-by as both a heartbreaking and gruesome scene.

A photograph of the young man said to have been killed in the weekend crash have now dredged up fresh memories and brought more pain for a country losing its young men too soon, too tragically.
Once confirmed by police, this would be the third traffic fatality for the TCI in 2023.
Initial information from the Royal TCI Police said the accident occurred around 5:41 p.m. on the eastbound lane of Leeward Highway. According to eyewitness reports, it was a lone car accident and one person at the scene had been seriously injured.
Traffic was re-routed as a result of the mishap.
Today, the Public Service arm of TCIG issued a statement on the passing of one of its employees, Romello Delancy. The identity is the same our Magnetic Media newsroom, received on the young man who died on Friday due to injuries from the car accident.
