#TheBahamas, August 14, 2023 – American Lindsay Shiver who was arrested for plotting to kill her husband Robert Shiver, in The Bahamas was granted bail of $100,000 on Wednesday August 02, 2023 by a Bahamian Supreme Court justice, following a court appearance on July 28th. The other two men who were working with her were also released 20,000 each.

Shiver was released a day late as she was expected to be released on Tuesday. This was due to the fact that she did not provide proof of residency in The Bahamas. However, on Wednesday she presented a lease agreement to the court hence her release.

She is being let go under specific conditions. According to the court clerk, her bail conditions are as follows: she cannot have contact with the other two defendants, (Terrance Bethel and Faron Newbold), her husband and cannot contact any of the prosecution witnesses.

Also, she was fitted with an ankle monitor, and is required to report to the Cable Beach Police station in Nassau every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before 6 p.m.  Any travel will require permission and she has a curfew to be in her residence every evening from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

She has to remain in Nassau until her October 5th court date and she is allowed to speak with her three sons.

Bethel and Newbold’s bail conditions are the same as Shiver’s.

It turns out that Lindsay and Robert Shiver, who own a home in Abaco, Bahamas, had filed for divorce in April after 13 years married, according to court records.

Robert Shiver filed on April 5th,  and Lindsay Shiver the following day, as stated by the complaint listed on the Thomas County, Georgia, Clerk of Courts website.

Details reveal that Robert Shiver lists Lindsay’s “adulterous conduct” as a reason for divorce, saying the marriage is permanently broken, according to the filings viewed by CNN. Considering this, it is reported that Bethel and Lindsay are lovers.

In continuation, the filing from Lindsay Shiver says she has “incurred debt beyond her means to pay,” and asks that her husband be made to pay.

The defendants’ next court hearing is October 5th, 2023.
