#TurksandCaicos, August 14, 2023 – All serving public employees hired post-1992 in the Turks and Caicos Islands are being called to register for a new portal that will show how much money they are owed by the Government at the end of tenure.

The Office of the Deputy Governor recently announced the launch of the TCIG Terminal Benefits Registration Portal. It’s an online database that will collect employee data and calculate their terminal benefits or the cash they are owed when their employment contract with the government ends.

The payouts will come from the newly established Pension Fund and only serving employees are being called to register currently.

It will be launched in two phases with the first focused on collecting data and the second focused on calculating benefits for employees in that post 1992 period. Pre-1992 employees will benefit from a different program.

To register, residents must visit the TCIG pension website and log in using their date of birth, employee number, and TCIG email address. To actually register only a few pieces of information are necessary

  • Employment start date
  • Two copies of the identification
  • Beneficiary details (name, birthday, cell number, etc)

Anya Williams, Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service said,  “We encourage all public servants to register your personal information and beneficiary details on the portal as this greatly assists in the processing and payment of your benefits at the time of retirement or departure from the public service.”
