#TrinidadandTobago, August 29, 2023 – A quantity of cocaine worth more than $21 million dollars, an estimated street value of $21,373,440, was found on the shores of Mayaro, a town in Trinidad and Tobago, on Wednesday August 23rd, 2023.
Reports say that a team of officers went to the BP Compound located at Isthmus Road Guayaguayare, Mayaro, met with company officials, and was escorted to the location of the drugs, 36 packets of cocaine weighing 46 kilograms.
This follows recent drug seizures in Trinidad and Tobago such as the interception of “hybrid” marijuana valued at TT$1.6 million, on Tuesday August 15th, which reportedly came from Canada weighing 6.48 kilograms; and the country’s largest land drug bust of cocaine weighing over 168 kilograms with a street value of $234,457,344 (Two hundred and thirty-four million, four hundred and fifty-seven thousand, three hundred and forty-four dollars).
