#TurksandCaicos, July 7, 2023 – ROUDELIN DORSAINVIL was before the court by zoom from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR) on Monday July 3, 2023.

The matter was called before her ladyship Ms. Tanya Lobban Jackson.

The accused’s attorney, Ashwood Forbes asked the Court for a short adjournment given the fact he has not received the file/bundle from his client at the DCR.

The file was served on his client and not on him (the attorney) and he  is now making arrangements to have it sent to him in Providenciales this afternoon.

Her Ladyship listened carefully to attorney Forbes and replied if the Crown (in the person of Nayasha Hatmin) has no objections, I’ll grant the defense application for an adjournment to Thursday 06th of July at 10am. The public prosecutor did not object. Her Ladyship then looked at the bundle that the court has and said to Mr. Forbes, these are some very serious offences your client is changed with, she begin to call off the allegations:-

  • Two counts of robberies.
  • Carrying firearm

  • Carrying ammunition

  • Discharging ammunition

  • Discharging firearm

The particulars and statement of offense was not read given the fact that Counsel for the defendant was not in possession of his bundle as yet.
