#TurksandCaicos, July 31, 2023 – The fibre-fast futuristic home of your dreams is here with the launch of SmartHOME by Digicel+.  Powered by superfast fibre broadband internet service from Digicel+, SmartHOME gives customers the edge.

Available as an add-on to the Digicel+ Fibre Broadband service, SmartHOME is a new subscription-based service that allows Home Fibre customers to remotely monitor and control smart devices and/or sensors in their home. Included in the options are tailored security packages, with 24/7 monitoring that allow customers to have peace of mind knowing that their family and home are safe and sound.

Some of the key features of SmartHOME are 24-hour video surveillance; real time intrusion alerts; professional monitoring service with reliable emergency services and security partners on call; energy management through real-time usage monitoring and appliance control; and home automation with automatic operation and voice control.

The brain of the SmartHOME system is the Gateway, which allows for connectivity of up to 160 smart devices.  Then, from the SmartHOME app, customers can easily log in and see their home any time of day or night; receiving a notification direct to their smartphone should an alarm be raised.  And beyond security, customers can also monitor and connect to other smart devices, like their lightbulbs, virtual assistants (like Alexa and Siri) or even their refrigerator.
