Press Release: Marine Vessel Incident
#TurksandCaicos, July 7, 2023 – On Tuesday 04th July, 2023, there was a boating incident involving one of our Maritime vessels.
The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m while the vessel was patrolling the West Coast, Providenciales.
An officer was injured and received treatment for his injuries.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force wishes to assure the public, this incident does not affect our maritime operations.
Acting Commissioner of Police Rodney Adams has since ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Pending the outcome of a preliminary report, a determination will be made as to whether an external investigation maybe essential.
The public is hereby reminded to call the nearest police station, 911 or TCI Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 and give any information regarding irregular migration anonymously.
