#TurksandCaicos, July 7, 2023 – A theft case from an elaborate bank scam between two individuals: KANTHAL CAPRON AND NORMAN FORBES, JR was listed for an application to exclude evidence on Wednesday July 5, 2023 before her Ladyship, Tanya Lobban Jackson.

The duo KANTHAL CAPRON AND NORMAN FORBES JR are represented by Lara Maroof Misick and Oliver Smith KC respectively.

Smith KC was still in the Grand Turk Supreme Court in an ongoing murder trial and therefore could not attend but Maroof-Misick held for him and asked the Court for an adjournment, which was granted.

The matter was adjourned to July 26 at 2pm for the exclusion hearing.

The allegations against both are that, acting in a conspiracy together they stole a large sum of funds (over $30,000 ) from Scotia Bank in Providenciales, while being employed there.  The theft scam allegedly ran from June 1,  2018 to March 30, 2019.

The defendants were not required to attend at Thursday’s hearing and they are both on bail.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution instructed a private attorney Willin Beliard to prosecute this matter on their behalf.

This is yet another case that has been pending for four years ( since 2019 ).
