Woman busted trying to travel to US with Cocaine says JCF Narcotics

#Jamaica, June 12, 2023 – Another drug bust for Jamaica as a flight attendant was detained after cocaine valued at  USD$75,000, was found in her luggage at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay St. James.

The cocaine was discovered during security procedures and weighed approximately 1.5 kilogrammes.

It is reported that the woman, 47 years old, arrived at the airport at around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday June 06, 2023 and later attempted to board a flight heading to New York.

She was arrested on reasonable suspicion of breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act by operatives assigned to the Jamaica Constabulary Force Narcotics Division.

She is reported to hold dual US/Jamaican nationalities. The police said her identity is being Withheld pending further investigations
