Two Year Old Child Sex Assault Case needs evidence; GUSTAVE gets nine more months bail

#TurksandCaicos, June 22, 2023 – Arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13, twice, the accused is free on bail for another nine months as the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has failed to turn over the evidence in the two year old case.

GARY GUSTAVE was before the Supreme Court in relation to two counts of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13. The offenses are alleged to have transpired in 2018 and 2021. Gustave was charged and first taken to court after the second incident in 2021.
Currently he is on bail pending trial.
Attorney Sheena Mair acts for the accused and raised certain much needed important further disclosure documentary evidence before the trial date which has been now moved to next year for a commencement date of March 4, 2024.
Nayasha Hatmin appeared on behalf of the Crown and expressed the Crown’s willingness to disclose the additional information/documentation to Ms. Mair by or before dates in this year (2023) as so directed by Hon. Justice Lobban Jackson.
