TCI Athletes in Four Disciplines at Centro Caribe

#TurksandCaicos, June 29, 2023 – A six person delegation is currently representing the Turks and Caicos in El Salvador at the Central American and Caribbean Games.
Junior swimmers Ethan and Alyssa Gardiner were the flag bearers for the TCI at the event and the TCI Sports Commission shared photos of the proud moment as they held the nations flag.
Resplendent in TCI branded gear, the two waved as they trooped along the stadium track. 
There was obvious pride from fans and supporters of Team Turks & Caicos seated in the crowd; shouts saluted the group as they passed by.
The TCI will be competing in beach volleyball, swimming and track and field events until the competition closes on July 8th.

- Ifeanyichukwu Otuonye (Long Jump)
- Yanique Haye-Smith (400m Hurdles)
- Myron Simmons and Cameron Hawkins (Beach Volleyball)
- Ethan Gardiner and Alissa Gardiner (Swimming)
