Man must pay $2,500 fine after guilty plea in December Drug Bust

#TurksandCaicos, June 22, 2023 – If LESLY ANDRE does not pay the court a fine of $2,500.00 he goes to jail
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (drugs) and possession with intent to supply the illegal drugs. On Thursday June 15, 2023 the DPP withdrew the possession with intent to supply and Andre was convicted and sentenced to the possession charge alone.
Chief Magistrate Jolyon Hatmin gave him two months to pay the fine or he will be picked by police to serve out his time in prison, at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in Grand Turk.
