KARRESA D GARDINER APPOINTED AS DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

#TurksandCaicos, June 29, 2023 – The Office of Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Karresa D. Gardiner to the post of Deputy Director of Human Resources within the Human Resource Management Directorate (HRMD) effective 1 July 2023.

Ms. Gardiner holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sales & Marketing from DeVry University in Florida, United States, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Westminster in London, United Kingdom.

She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a globally respected professional body that governs and sets standards for HR professionals. She has also earned numerous advanced certificates and diplomas from the Continued Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service in various subject areas, including HR Strategies, Leadership & Management, HR Consultancy, Budgeting & Financial Reporting, Compliance Management, UK Employment Law, HRM, Performance Management and other areas.

Ms. Gardiner brings with her the unique experience of being exposed to the HR field in both the private and public sectors. While in the private sector, Ms. Gardiner worked for Shore Club as a Manager in the Human Resource Department and played a vital role in the day-to-day management of HR operations.

She joined the public service in 2013 as a Human Resource Officer (HRO), responsible for the execution of HR strategies, services, and programs within various ministries. She demonstrated success advising senior managers on a wide range of HR functions.

Ms. Gardiner, in commenting on her appointment, stated:

I want to thank the amazing family and support system I have been blessed with for their unwavering support in my dedication to the human resources profession.

I am determined to continue contributing my best efforts to re-engineer the efficiency and effectiveness of HR strategies within the public service.”

Acting Governor and Head of the Public Service, Her Excellency Anya Williams, in extending congratulatory remarks to Ms. Gardiner, stated:

“It is with great pleasure that I officially congratulate Ms. Karresa Gardiner on her appointment as the new Deputy Director of Human Resources within the Human Resource Management Directorate.

Ms. Gardiner has a wealth of experience in the human resources field, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, talent management, and benefits administration.
