Bench Warrant for North Caicos Firearm Suspect ‘no show’ at Court

#TurksandCaicos, June 12, 2023 – JOSH MCINTOSH on Friday June 2, 2023 failed to show up before her ladyship the Hon. Chief Justice Mabel Agyemang to answer to firearm charges laid against him in the Supreme Court.

Her ladyship through video link inquired of the prison as to if McIntosh was in custody, to which prison authorities replied, “no he’s not there, he’s on bail”

The matter was called and there was no show of the defendant.

The Hon. Chief Justice stood the matter down until the end of the day’s proceedings giving McIntosh time to appear.

There was still a “no show” of McIntosh by the end of the Court’s list and a bench warrant was issued for his immediate arrest.

The accused was unrepresented and no further date was fixed for a continued hearing until he is apprehended.

Josh McIntosh was scheduled for a sufficiency heading in relation to firearm offences which dates back to October of 2022 when a police Anaconda Operation was conducted in North Caicos.
