Shark Attack Reported
#TurksandCaicos, May 25, 2023 – Unimaginable is likely the best way to describe how a 22 year old Connecticut woman is feeling this morning after yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon being attacked by a shark.
Images of the injury show the woman’s foot completely severed from her body.
It was a horrible end to a snorkeling trip in waters off of Providenciales.
TCI Police confirm the woman reported being attacked by a shark and that shortly after 3pm they got the call; it was a worker in the area who alerted emergency personnel.
The woman was not alone, she was snorkeling with a friend informed a police report on the tragic incident.
She is hospitalised at the Cheshire Hall Medical Center; her condition is listed by Police as serious.
No warnings have been issued to Magnetic Media by local authorities.
