LATAM Airlines new route to Aruba

May 30, 2023 – LATAM Airlines Group, considered the most prestigious South American Carrier, is launching, a new nonstop route to Aruba running three times weekly between Lima, Capital of  Peru and Aruba Airport.

New flights which will be operated on either an Airbus A320, 174 seats or an Airbus A319, 138 seats; will open up opportunities for Aruba to gain more visitors from Peru and fortify the Peru/Aruba connection as expressed by Danguiallaume Oduber Tourism Minister Aruba.

“This new flight will not only strengthen the ties between our two countries, but it will also provide an exciting opportunity for Peruvians to discover Aruba’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.  We look forward to sharing with them the unforgettable experiences that make Aruba the one happy island,” Oduber said.

“A lot of time and energy was put into the negotiations, and we are happy to see a successful outcome,” he added.

Additionally, Oduber highlighted that he is excited for the development, adding that Aruba welcomes its friends from Peru to experience “Aruba’s sunny shores.”

He continued to say, “In light of diversification, we consider the announcement of the Lima-Aruba flight with LATAM airlines a great achievement,” which is emphasized by Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority who says the new route is in alignment with the authority’s diversification strategy, and that it allows them to grow their market share in Latin America airline long haul markets.

LATAM will take to the skies for Aruba on December 02, 2023; Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, ending the year with a new journey.
