#PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands, April 13, 2023: Very often whenever someone speaks about enjoying a career within the hospitality industry, people limit their minds to the traditional roles that exist. But alas, this is not so when it comes on to establishing a career with Beaches Turks and Caicos (BTC) as the dynamic resort is known to offer a host of traditional and non-traditional career opportunities to current and prospective employees.

Careers within the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) landscape, though not always associated with the tourism industry have their own space at BTC. Professionals with training in these areas have found lasting careers within the sector and have made it their duty to educate other like-minded persons to venture down that path.

Director of engineering, with more than 30 years at Sandals Resorts, Mario Campbell shared, “with my degree in civil engineering, I joined this company and have found myself enjoying the industry and being able to help build other technical careers in the engineering department. We have professionals in these technical, and skilled areas that are needed in the daily operations of this resort. Electricians, plumbers, air condition technicians, carpenters, auto technicians, information technology, and engineers are all specialised areas that we have across Sandals and Beaches Resorts.”

“Being able to find suitable technical career areas within the hospitality industry can sometimes be daunting as not many young professionals are aware that here at BTC we have jobs in all the skilled areas. As a team, we are capable of providing the technical services needed to keep the hotel operations functional,” Campbell noted.

General Manager, James McAnally in highlighting the dynamism of the resort added, “at BTC we provide areas that some may consider non-traditional hospitality. This is primarily due to the many offerings that we provide for our guests, hence we are capable of establishing careers in the skilled and non-skilled areas. We provide a world class service that allows our guests to vacation in luxury and comfort. In order to ensure a smooth operation, we have to employ the best team of professionals to deliver at the highest level.”

“Our Engineering team are highly skilled in their respective fields and have displayed the right attitude. They receive regular training either order to ensure continued delivery of exceptional services,” McAnally shared.
