#TurksandCaicos, April 21, 2023 – The National Honors and Awards Recipients for 2022 have been selected and published in the March 2023 Gazette. The National Honors and Awards Ceremony is set for Saturday, 20th May 2023 at Yellowman and Sons Auditorium in Grand Turk and the general public is invited to attend. The nominees and the prizes they will receive are highlighted.

The categories, this year, which had no awardees are: The Order of National Hero for extraordinary and outstanding achievement and merit in service to the Turks and Caicos Islands or to humanity at large; The Patriotic Award Mouchoir Bank Medal, an honorary award for demonstrating a very high regard for national integration and philanthropic contribution to the development of the islands; and The Meritorious Service Medal for sacrificial and meritorious service in a field of service that is inherently challenging or for a brave or humane act in the islands or abroad.
