SHARDAYE RICHARDSON APPOINTED AS HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

#TurksandCaicos, April 27, 2023 – The Office of the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Shardaye Richardson to the post of Human Resource Officer in the Human Resource Directorate (HRMD) within the Office of the Deputy Governor.

Ms. Richardson received her tertiary level education and training from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College. There she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.

Her career with the Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) began in 2015 as a Temporary Administrative Assistant within the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) followed by a temporary assignment within the Land Registry Department also as an Administrative Assistant. In November 2016, Ms. Richardson joined TCIG permanently as an Assistant Land Officer and was later promoted to Land Registration Officer within Land Registry Department.

Ms. Richardson, in commenting on her appointment, stated:

“As I embark on this new appointment as a Human Resource Officer within the Human Resource Management Directorate, Turks and Caicos Islands Government, I would firstly like to Thank God for allowing all of this to be possible and also my family, friends and colleagues for the support that was given to me. Moreover, I would like thank the Turks and Caicos Islands Government for this new opportunity to embrace the skills and knowledge gained over the years and to also gain more experience within the Human Resource Management field.

I am quite excited and delighted to be apart the Human Resource Directorate team and I am confident that I will be a valuable asset not only to the department but also to the TCIG and the Turks and Caicos Islands as a whole.”

Acting Governor and Head of the Public Service, Her Excellency Anya Williams, in extending congratulatory remarks to Ms. Richardson, stated:

It gives me great pleasure to officially announce and to congratulate Ms. Shardaye Richardson on her appointment to the post of Human Resource Officer in the Human Resource Management Directorate (HRMD) within the Office of the Deputy Governor.

Ms. Richardson initially joined the public service in a temporary capacity before taking up permanent appointment in the Land Registry in 2016.

Wanting to achieve more, she enrolled in the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College (TCICC) to upgrade her educational background and skills which then positioned her for greater upward mobility opportunities within the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service and elsewhere.

She is now reaping the benefits of her hard work. We are pleased to welcome her to our HRMD team and wish her all the best as she works to assist the government, in particular the ministry she is assigned, in carrying out their recruitment and other human resource management responsibilities.
