#TurksandCaicos, April 13, 2023 – The Office of the Deputy Governor is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Pamela Clarke to the post of Deputy Accountant General in the Financial Services and Supplies Management Unit (Treasury) within the Ministry of Finance, Investment and Trade.
Ms. Clarke holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University.
Ms. Clarke joined the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service in 2009 as a Senior Tax Officer within the Inland Revenue Department (Revenue Control Unit). She was later promoted to the roles of Senior Finance Officer and Finance Manager, respectively, within Financial Services and Supplies Management Unit (Treasury) where she was responsible for overseeing and managing the financial processes for various ministries throughout the public service to ensure compliance with TCIG budgetary and financial policies such as revenue generation, cost savings and delivery of other budget targets.
Ms. Clarke also benefited from training in Public Finance Management (PFM) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Ms. Clarke, in commenting on her appointment, stated: “God has steered the wheel and guided my path during this entire journey and I must give thanks and praise to Him.
It is my ultimate goal to carry out my duties with dignity and pride. I vow to continue to serve my country and its people to the best of my ability.”
