KRISTEN BROWN-GLINTON appointed as Senior Finance Officer

#TurksandCaicos, April 17, 2023 – The Office of the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kristen Brown-Glinton to the post of Senior Finance Officer in the Financial Services and Supplies Management Department (Treasury) within the Ministry of Finance, Investment, and Trade.

Mrs. Glinton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Studies from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College and a Master’s in Finance and Investment from the London School of Business and Finance.

Mrs. Glinton joined the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service in 1999 as a Data Processor and was later transferred with the newly formed Financial Services Commission (FSC). During her tenure with the FSC, Mrs. Glinton served as a Revenue Officer, Examiner/Administrative Clerk, Senior Insurance Administrator, and Insurance Analyst/Supervisor within the International Insurance Unit.

In 2018, Mrs. Glinton rejoined the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service as a Senior Tax Officer within the Inland Revenue Department and was later seconded to the Budget Department as a Budget Analyst.

Over the course of her career, Mrs. Glinton received extensive training and earned certificates in Anti-Money Laundering and Business Communication.

Mrs. Glinton, in commenting on her appointment, stated:

“I am extremely honored to be appointed as Senior Finance Officer within the Financial Services and Supplies Management Department (Treasury). I take this time to say thank you and that I am grateful for this opportunity. I am confident that I would be able to make a positive contribution in the unit and look forward to working along with the various departments.

Acting Governor and Head of the Public Service ,Her Excellency Anya Williams, in extending congratulatory remarks to Mrs. Glinton, stated:“It gives me great pleasure to officially announce and to congratulate Mrs. Kristen Brown-Glinton in her appointment as Senior Finance Officer.

Senior Finance Officers play a critical role in the success of government operations and our ability to deliver on-time services to the public and projects for the public.

Mrs. Glinton brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Financial Services and Supplies Management Department (Treasury) and we are sure she will add an invaluable contribution to the continued operation and integrity of our financial processes. As seen with her past experiences Mrs. Glinton is not afraid of new tasks or challenges and we are confident in her ability to continue on the same path with this role.
