#USA, April 26, 2023 – Joe Biden, US President revealed in a pre-recorded video that was uploaded to his social media Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, that he is running for a second term in office, continuing the “battle for the soul of America,” as he expressed, alluding to his first leg as candidate four years ago.

In the video, he spoke to the future of the US and what freedom would look like.

“The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less freedom. More rights or fewer, I know what I want the answer to be and I think you do too” he said.

“This is not the time to be complacent. That’s why I’m running for re-election,” he further stated.

Biden clearly outlines his vision for the United States in the video highlighting issues of equality and oppression (social oppression), hence the theme ‘Freedom.’

Hope seems to be Biden’s drive in taking a second lap for America. He expresses that there is redemption for the US and is adamant to see it come to pass.

“I know America, I know we’re are good and decent people, I know we are still a country that believes in honesty and respect and treating each other with dignity, that we are a nation, where we give hate no safe harbor, we believe that everyone is equal, that everyone should be given a fair shot to succeed in this country,” he firmly stated.

The now President, following the video, highlighted his “Investing in America” and referred to his aim to complete his duty to the country before an audience in Washington.

“I’m here because there’s no better place to talk about the progress we’ve made together and wouldn’t be made without you, and that’s not hyperbole, that’s a fact. Our economic plan is working. We now have to finish the job,” he said.

Biden’s announcement sets stage for a rousing fight against Donald Trump for the elections next year on Tuesday November 5th.
