Hilton Aruba invests 100 million dollars

ORANJESTAD – On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the Minister of Tourism and Public Health, Mr. Dangui Oduber, visited the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino.

During the visit, the Minister met the new GM of the hotel, Mr. Larry Tuck, and his team gave a presentation on the developments of the Hilton Aruba.  They also reviewed the numbers, plans, and investments the hotel will make this year.

According to the Hilton’s numbers, 2022 was their best year, and March 2023 was their best performing month! Hilton Aruba consists of three towers, the Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao towers, and 357 rooms, which will all undergo renovation.

In May 2023, Hilton Resort will start building the new building consisting of 9 floors, 161 extra rooms, and an exclusive Rooftop Club. Each room on the first floor will have a private pool.  The Rooftop Club will have a    breakfast area, Happy Hours in the afternoon, and opens all day.  It will be an add-on for hotel guests willing to pay a higher price for an exclusive experience.

The new building will be on the existing lot of the Hilton Aruba located behind the Curacao Tower.  Local companies with local employees will build the new tower.  According to the plans, its completion is in 2025.  The construction and renovation is an investment of around 100 million dollars financed through local banks and the pension fund.

Minister Oduber congratulates the Aruba Growth Fund as a local owner and thanks the outgoing GM, Mr. Vasco Basell, for his hard work for the Hilton Resort and Aruba tourism. In addition, Minister Oduber welcomes the new GM, Mr. Larry Tuck, and wishes him much success.
