#USA, April 26, 2023 – FOX News announced on Monday it has decided to “part ways” with Tucker Carlson, the network’s highest rated single host, who had more than three million viewers on an average night.

His last show of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” was broadcasted on Friday April 21. That day also marked a gim milestone for the host; FOX Corporation chief executive Lachlan Murdoch and FOX News chief executive Suzanne Scott reportedly made the decision.

Carlson was apparently informed about his future at FOX on Monday, April 24th.

The details surrounding Fox’s decision have not been revealed.

It’s only said ” FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

However, suspicions as to why the decision was made surrounds the fact that the announcement comes the week after Fox News settled a massive defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million over the network’s circulation of “election lies”, to which Carlson was a key figure.

The lawsuit also revealed that Carlson disparaged his colleagues.

Despite his sudden departure, Carlson had a successful career since he joined FOX  in 2009 as a contributor. He served as co-host of “Fox and Friends Weekend” from 2012 to 2016, then came his nightly show “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” in 2016, until he transitioned to the 8 p.m. slot in April 2017.

Carlson’s absence will be filled with rotating hosts for now.
