CARICOM welcomes talks with UK ahead of Forum

April 3, 2023 – On Tuesday 28th March, Dr. Carla Barnett, CARICOM Secretary-General held a bilateral meeting with the Honourable David Rutley, Parliamentary under Secretary of State for the Americas and the Caribbean of the United Kingdom at the CARICOM Secretariat.

During the meeting they discussed climate change, development financing and the upcoming 11th Caribbean-UK Forum which will be held in Jamaica in May 2023.

Also present were Dr. Tres-Ann Kremer, Chef de Cabinet, Office of the Secretary-General; Amb. Donna Forde, Assistant Secretary-General, Foreign and Community Relations (FCR); Mr. Brian Bellevue, Programme Manager, FCR; Mr. David Allens, Project Officer, FCR; Her Excellency Jane Miller, Plenipotentiary Representative of the United Kingdom to CARICOM; Ms. Phoebe Lundy, Private Secretary; Mr. Russell Crane, Head of FCDO Caribbean Team; Mr. Alain Archibald, Multilateral Engagement Lead for the Caribbean; Mr. David Finan, SIDS Hub; Ms. Kassia De Santos, SIDS Hub; and Ms. Tianna Graham, Political Officer.
