British Airways now connects London to Guyana & St Lucia

April 3, 2023 – An historic day was marked for Saint Lucia and regional connectivity last Tuesday March 28, 2023. The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) along with the Ministry of Tourism and other stakeholders including the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA) were part of a delegation on the inaugural flight from London to Guyana with connectivity through Saint Lucia.

This twice weekly flight, Mondays and Thursdays, presents new opportunities for our tourism market as well as investment opportunities for both economies. As Guyana’s economy continues on its upwards growth trajectory, it is critical that we partner with them to explore export opportunities for our locals to Guyana.

The Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of Guyana joined us on the inaugural return leg of the flight with service from Guyana to Saint Lucia onto London. In discussions with her, she is eager to explore all opportunities that will be mutually beneficial to Saint Lucians and Guyanese alike.
