AKERRA WILLIAMS APPOINTED AS SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER  

#TurksandCaicos, April 13, 2023 – The Office of the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Akerra Williams to the post of Senior Finance Officer in the Financial Services and Supplies Management Department (Treasury) within the Ministry of Finance, Investment, and Trade.

Ms. Williams holds an Associate Degree in Business Studies and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Management from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College.

Ms. Williams joined the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service in April 2017 as a Customs Officer on Providenciales and shortly after returned to her home island of Grand Turk (June 2017) where she assumed the post of Administrative Assistant later promoted to Administrative Officer (August 2021) within the House of Assembly.

Ms. Williams, in commenting on her appointment, stated:  “I am both elated and thankful to God for making this attainment conceivable. I am also eternally grateful to my family and friends for their advice, and encouragement, especially my son Kairo, who motivates my will to succeed.
