#TheBahamas, April 11, 2023 – The longest serving member of staff at Magnetic Media has been an anchor and has flourished behind the scenes, off camera in his capacity, as the one who is closest to the camera and the award winning shots.

Corey Hamilton has been with Magnetic Media since 2011, joining his sister, Deandrea Hamilton who recognized his love for photography and videography and offered him the spot to be photographer for The Bahamas.  Corey accepted, and has been with Magnetic Media ever since.

Travelling to intriguing parts of the Americas; Corey has been key to ensuring Magnetic Media offered unique coverage of regional Caribbean people at festivals, carnivals, conferences, summits, award ceremonies, grand openings, parades and more over his 12 years at the company.

Corey was on board for the Telly Award winning productions which captured The Bahamas All Stars in Orlando, Florida for the musical group’s international debut in 2011.  Another Telly Award winning show was filmed in Miami, Florida when stakeholders convened in an IDB-sponsored session aimed at rebuilding Haiti, following the devastating 2010 earthquake. Mr. Hamilton was also the one capturing Caribbean Marketplace, for the wheeling and dealing of Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association members from across the region on Paradise Island in Nassau and not to be forgotten, the excitement when the World Travel Awards landed on Sandals private island escape in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

From the 2012 Summit of the Americas, when Magnetic Media was the only Caribbean media house represented in Cartagena, Columbia; to the first time CARICOM Heads of Government convened in Haiti for a meeting as Michel Martelly presided, to the inductions of icons like Rita Marley, Beenie Man and The Bahamas’ Ronnie Butler at the Caribbean Hall of Fame ceremony in Kingston, Jamaica in 2014, Corey Hamilton has been present and accounted for with cameras rolling.

Life for Corey began in Nassau, Bahamas where he was born.  While still a toddler, his family migrated to Freeport, Grand Bahama where he grew up and attended the mighty Hawksbill High School.  Completing top of his class in Electrical Engineering, Corey also excelled in the hospitality industry at the Atlantic Beach Hotel once he entered the working world.  Soon though, he would find his truer passion as an entrepreneur.  He continues with his own businesses today even as he complements and helps to lead the Magnetic Media productions team.

For his loyalty and unwavering diligence, Corey is a respected part of Magnetic Media and now serves as the lead producer of three-time Telly Award winning Turquoise Morning which is seen across the Caribbean, in the United States and Canada on TV.

An award winning producer, intuitive team player, gentleman and supportive brother; Magnetic Media easily credits much of its longevity in the industry to this media professional: Corey Hamilton.
