TCI Records Murder No. 3 in Five Cays

#TurksandCaicos, March 20, 2023 – The Turks and Caicos recorded its third reported murder for 2023; 33 year old Jeron Merveille was the victim early Sunday, March 19. 
Police say they received several calls from residents reporting gunshots in an area behind Liz Bakery, off Five Cays Road.
When police arrived bringing with medical practitioners with them to the given location they found Merveille lying face down on the ground, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about the body.
They don’t yet have a motive and no suspect was mentioned but Superintendent in charge of Crime, Safeguarding and Public Protection Dean Holden said they believe the man who was killed was targeted by a number of men who were armed
It follows the death of Ervin Glinton jr in Five Cays in late January and the killing of a Jamaican chef in Grand Turk on January 15th.
