#TurksandCaicos, March 23, 2023 – The Turks and Caicos is celebrating Social Work Month during March, with the creation of a new Social Work Foundation. The announcement came from the Government in a Press
The Government explained that it would be registering all TCI Social Workers to form a TCI Social Work Society/Foundation as well as meeting with the other Overseas Territories virtually to share knowledge.
The initiative comes as the TCI joined countries globally under the theme, “Social Work breaks barriers: Respecting Diversity through joint social action,” during March, highlighting the importance of social workers.
The TCIG highlighted the immense responsibility and reach of its social workers who it says, affect the lives of young and old, and called for residents to celebrate these unsung professionals along with them.
No timeline was given for the start of the Foundation.
