#TheBahamas, March 31, 2023 – Twenty-five year old Jasrado ‘Jazz’ Chisholm is once again in the spotlight as a trailblazer; this time it’s for signing a brand deal with Jordan, making him the first Bahamian athlete to lace up for the multimillion-dollar sneaker company owned by legendary Michael Jordan.

Jazz is known for his electric style and is not new to the Air Jordan club, but now he is more than donning the gear, he is part of the family and that is rare.  Only four others are in this clique from Major League Baseball (MLB), named as: Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder; Aaron Judge, New York Yankees outfielder; Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays first baseman  and free-agent pitcher David Price.

The gravity of this accomplishment has not been lost on the young Florida Marlins’ player, who is deemed  one of MLB’s most notable upcoming stars.  In the 2022 baseball season, Jazz slashed .254/.325/.535 with 14 home runs, 45 runs batted in and 12 stolen bases in 60 games on the way to All-Star selection.

“It means everything to me.  You know, I’m always the guy that never really wanted to do the same thing as people, I always wanted to be one of a few, you know, I mean not one of many, so it’s great that this is what I always wanted and this is what I’m glad to be a part of,” he said.

The announcement came on the eve of MLB Opening Day as the Marlins take on the New York Mets at 4.10 p.m. today (Thursday March 30).
