#TurksandCaicos, March 14, 2023 – A massive blaze was recorded in Five Cays on Wednesday, March 8th, just days after the destruction of Walkin and Sons Marine Supplies (Walkin Marine). Videos of the blaze showed what appeared to be a site filled with old cars pumping smoke into the air.

Firefighters were seen on site battling the blaze, which, by the time they arrived, had engulfed many of the decrepit cars and made entry to the area impossible. A resident can be heard in one of the videos explaining that fires have plagued similar garages before.

We reached out to the authorities to find out what caused the blaze and whether they think it was arson.
